The Enterprise Privacy Group is an association of
organisations working in partnership to understand privacy and
identity-related issues and to achieve collaborative solutions.
Private companies and government departments join the Group to
collaborate on the development of solutions for their privacy,
identity, data protection and freedom of information concerns. In
return for a single annual subscription, organisations have free access
to a broad range of workshops, training courses, practical research and
an annual conference.

The Ministry of Justice review of data sharing, led by Dr Mark Walport and Richard Thomas, has now been published, and the Enterprise Privacy Group is pleased to publish its submission to the consultation process. On the 6th March, the Home Secretary published the National Identity Scheme Delivery Plan 2008. This plan introduces the first Identity Cards for UK citizens in 2009. As part of the overall consultations on the Delivery Plan, the Identity and Passport Service has invited the Enterprise Privacy Group to convene and facilitate a series of workshops to explore key aspects of privacy, security and usability in the National Identity Scheme. The workshop on 30th June will explore stakeholder understanding and expectations of the National Identity Scheme. The workshop, which will be held under the Chatham House rule, will bring together a broad range of views and expertise from diverse stakeholder groups. Annual Members Forum - Call for Papers |

EPG is holding its Annual Members Forum on 7th-8th October 2008. Judging by last year's event the Forum represents one of the best gatherings of privacy savvy people in the UK. Members and guests are invited to contribute to this year's Forum by making a presentation or running a workshop session. Those who do so will be eligible for free seats at the event, which includes access to both days of the Forum, meals and refreshments.
