Welcome
The Enterprise Privacy Group is an association of
organisations working in partnership to understand privacy and
identity-related issues and to achieve collaborative solutions.
Private companies and government departments join the Group to
collaborate on the development of solutions for their privacy,
identity, data protection and freedom of information concerns. In
return for a single annual subscription, organisations have free access
to a broad range of workshops, training courses, practical research and
an annual conference.
| Workshop - Trust and Consumer Confidence in the National Identity Scheme |
|
Our next workshop will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday 22nd May at the Institute of Directors in London, and will focus on Trust and Consumer Confidence in the National Identity Scheme.
The Identity and Passport Service has invited the Enterprise Privacy Group (EPG) to independently facilitate a small Forum to act as a sounding board and provide advice on a number of questions that the government must answer to achieve a balance of privacy, security and usability in the National Identity Scheme (NIS). Further information about this Forum, and associated workshops and conferences (which will be open to EPG Members) will be made available shortly. The purpose of our meeting will be to: - review and agree the content of our response to the IPS Delivery Plan 2008 consultation; - develop a foundation framework for the issues that need to be considered if the Identity & Passport Service is to build trust and consumer confidence in the NIS. We will meet for coffee from 1:45pm for a 2:00pm start in Room 401 of the IoD Business Centre, 116 Pall Mall, London SW1Y 5ED, and aim to finish by 5:00pm when we will retire for drinks in the Cellar Wine Bar. Directions to the venue can be found here: IoD Map. Our dress code is business casual, please remember that the IoD enforces a strict dress code of no jeans, t-shirts or trainers.
